Mitochondrial DNA Analysis – A Different Approach to Crime Solving
Bio-Synthesis, Inc. begins Mitochondrial DNA Testing or MtDNA, making it one of only a handful of labs to perfect the technology. MtDNA Testing allows Forensic scientist to get a profile from samples that are old or possibly damaged, where the usual technique may not be effective....

Twin Zygosity DNA Testing
Both twins must be tested in order to determine if they are identical or fraternal twins. If the two individuals are identical twins, their DNA will be nearly identical. It is not necessary to test one of the biological parents. If the two individuals are fraternal twins, it is similar to a full siblingship test where one parent should be tested as well to improve the accuracy of the test.

Adoption DNA Testing
Both the child and the birth parent must be tested in order to prove maternity or paternity before the parent can relinquish rights to a child and begin the adoption process.

Maternity DNA Testing
Maternity DNA test determines if a woman is the biological mother of a child. Only the child and the alleged mother need to be tested. Testing of the father is optional, but may improve the accuracy of the results.

Paternity DNA Testing
For DNA paternity test, the alleged father and child must both participate. It is not absolutely necessary to have the sample of the child’s biological mother to achieve test accuracy at >99.9%. While outcomes will be the same regardless of the motherless sample, a full paternity test may achieve an accuracy rate of >99.999% for inclusion, whereas a motherless paternity test may only yield accuracy of >99.9%.

DNA Infidelity Detection Services
An unknown stained sample is required to perform semen detection. DNA profile is performed to determine if there is DNA in the stain. A known DNA sample/collection is required for comparison to the first unknown sample to see if the profiles match.

Y-STR DNA Testing
Y-STR DNA testing determines whether two or more males are related through their paternal lineage. When the alleged father is not available for testing, male relatives of the alleged father need to be tested along with the male child.

Mitochondrial DNA Testing
Maternity Testing
The child and the alleged mother are both need to be tested in order to confirm maternity.

Sibling Studies
Both siblings must be tested in order to determine if they share the same biological mother.

Grandparentage Testing
In a grandfather to grandson DNA test, it is only necessary to test the grandfather and grandson.
In a grandmother to granddaughter DNA test, since one of the X-chromosomes is passed down to the mother and then to the daughter, it is recommended to have the mother tested as well to improve the accuracy.
In a grandmother to grandson DNA test, the X-chromosome is passed on to her offspring and then to the grandchild. To properly determine which side of the family this X-chromosome is coming from, the grandfather or mother of the child should be tested as well to improve the accuracy.
In a grandfather to granddaughter DNA test, the X-chromosome is passed on to his offspring and then to the grandchild. To properly determine which side of the family this X-chromosome is coming from, the grandmother or mother of the child should be tested as well to improve the accuracy.

Siblingship DNA Testing
Full siblingship test determines whether two or more individuals have the same biological parents. All siblings have to be tested in order to compare their DNA profiles. One parent should be tested as well to improve the accuracy.

Half siblingship test determines whether two or more individuals have one common biological parent. The alleged common parent should be tested as well to improve accuracy.

When biological parent of a child or any other person is not available for the testing, a genetic profile may be reconstructed by testing other family member or relatives. Testimonials

"I just want to thank the continued professional and courteous service your Customer Service team provided me during the stressful waiting period for the DNA results. I contacted both your phone support and instant chat support teams at least twice and received concerned support each time. Never did I feel like they thought I might be calling too much and needed to be more patient. I truly appreciate their consideration and patience during this time."
