DNA Gene
DNA Gene

DNA (deoxyribonucleic acid) is a double-stranded molecule that is twisted into a helix like a spiral staircase. Each strand is comprised of a sugar-phosphate backbone and numerous base chemicals attached in pairs. The four bases that make up the stairs in the spiraling staircase are adenine (A), thymine (T), cytosine (C) and guanine (G).

Our staff works hard to make the DNA Identity Testing Center your choice of provider for all DNA testing services. We ensure superior quality, service and convenience to our clients. In our commitment to providing convenience, please know that we provide a free DNASwabTM Home DNA Collection Kit for use in all types of private DNA tests.

DNA and Chromosomes
The molecular basis for genes is deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA). DNA is composed of a chain of nucleotides, of which there are four types: adenine (A), cytosine (C), guanine (G), and thymine (T). Genetic information exists in the sequence of these nucleotides, and genes exist as stretches of sequence along the DNA chain.[30] Viruses are the only exception to this rule—sometimes viruses use the very similar molecule RNA instead of DNA as their genetic material.
DNA Profiling
DNA Profiling
DNA profiling can provide a high degree of confidence that a particular body fluid stain, hair or flake of dandruff, for instance, could have been deposited by one particular person. Indeed, a substantial part of Forensic Access’s work involves checking the accuracy and relevance of DNA test results and assessing the sustainability of conclusions drawn in respect of them as to likely culpability in specific case circumstances.
Maternal Serum Alpha-Fetoprotein
Maternal Serum Alpha-Fetoprotein
This is a blood test done between 15 - 17 weeks of pregnancy. There is no risk to the baby during this screening. The mother's blood is screened for one or more substances (alpha-fetoprotein, hCG, estriadol). Higher than normal levels may indicate a neural tube defect, while lower values may indicate certain chromosomal disorders, usually Down Syndrome.
